Privacy policy

This site is run by Stewart Motorsports. If you have a question about your information, or you want it corrected or deleted, email slade_stewart@stewartmotorsports.com.

We collect information in four places, and nowhere else.

• When you use the contact formYour name, email, subject, and message. We use it to read your message and reply. That is it.
• When you enter the livery contestYour first name, last initial, age, city and state, email address, Instagram handle if you add one, a note about how you made your design, and the artwork you upload. We use it to run the contest, to contact you if you win, and to show your entry in the public gallery. The gallery shows only your first name, age, city and state, and your artwork, plus your last initial if you are 14 or older. Your email address and Instagram handle are never shown publicly, at any age.
• When you vote in the contestYour email address, so we can confirm the vote and keep it to one per person, plus your IP address and browser user agent. The IP and user agent are used only to stop vote stuffing. They are not used to track you around the site.
• When you browse, and only if you acceptGoogle Analytics tells us things like which pages get visited, roughly what part of the world visitors come from, and what device and browser they use. It is aggregate, and it is off until you press Accept.

The livery contest is meant to be fun for kids, so it is built to keep a grown-up in the loop. If the entrant is under 13, the form asks for a parent or guardian's email instead of the child's, and the parent has to tick a box saying they agree to the entry.

Nothing happens until that parent or guardian clicks the link we email them. Their click is what approves the entry, and we record when it happened. If they never click, the entry goes no further and never appears anywhere.

For entrants 13 and under we also leave the last initial off the public gallery, so it shows only a first name, age, and city and state.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent or guardian being involved. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, email slade_stewart@stewartmotorsports.com and we will delete it.

Most of what this site remembers never leaves your device. It is stored in your browser, not sent to us.

• Stays on your deviceWhich car theme you picked, your unicorn hunt progress, and your answer to the cookie notice. This lives in your browser local storage so the site works the way you set it. We never see it.
• Only if you acceptGoogle Analytics sets cookies to count visits. If you decline, or simply ignore the notice, no analytics cookies are set at all. Changed your mind? Clear this site's data in your browser and the notice will ask again.

We use a few outside services to actually run the site. They only handle what they need to:

• Hosting and databaseOur host and database provider store the site and its content, including contest entries and uploaded artwork.
• EmailOur email provider sends contest and voting confirmation emails.
• AnalyticsGoogle Analytics, only with your consent.
• AI renderingIf you use the feature that previews your design on the car, your artwork is sent to an AI image service to create that preview.

We do not sell your information, and we do not hand it over for advertising.

Contest entries and votes are kept while the contest runs and for a reasonable time afterward, so we can show the results. Contact messages are kept as long as we need them to help you. If you want yours removed sooner, just ask.

You can decline analytics on the cookie notice, and nothing about your visit gets measured. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing slade_stewart@stewartmotorsports.com. Depending on where you live, such as the EU, the UK, or California, you may have extra rights over your information. Email us either way and we will take care of it.

The site runs over HTTPS, and access to entries and messages is limited to the team. No website can promise perfect security, but we do not collect anything we do not need, which is the best protection there is.

If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and the date at the top.
