In Slade's words
Why a prototype.
I've spent my career in GT cars. The Lamborghini taught me how to race, and the BMW is teaching me how much further there is to go. So when the chance came to run a prototype with Riley, it wasn't a hard decision. I'd been thinking about it for a while.
An LMP3 car is a different animal. You sit low and far forward, the aerodynamics do work a GT car never asks for, and the whole thing weighs less than most road cars. Everything happens sooner than you expect it to.
This is a first step, not a change of direction. The plan is a bigger prototype program in 2027, running alongside the GT World Challenge America effort rather than replacing it. I'm not walking away from Sparklefarts; I'm adding to what we do. Racing has never been about one thing for me, and neither is this.
